Who Supplies SK hynix? The Companies Behind Its HBM, DRAM and GDDR Memory
SK hynix makes the memory inside NVIDIA's AI chips, but it relies on a short list of suppliers to do it: ASML's EUV scanners, TSMC's logic dies, Korean wafers and bonding machines, and a steady flow of ultra-pure gases. Here's who supplies SK hynix, and who it sells to.

More of the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) in NVIDIA's data-center GPUs comes from SK hynix than from any other company. Each GPU carries several HBM stacks beside the processor, so when one of SK hynix's suppliers slips, it shows up a few months later as fewer AI accelerators. That's why its supplier list is worth a close look.
The short answer
On the equipment side, ASML sells SK hynix its EUV lithography scanners and Lam Research sells it etch and deposition tools. Hanmi Semiconductor, ASMPT and Hanwha Semitech build the bonding machines that stack HBM dies.
For materials, SK Siltron makes the silicon wafers and Linde and Air Liquide supply process gases. Starting with HBM4, TSMC also makes the logic die at the bottom of each memory stack.
NVIDIA is the biggest buyer of SK hynix's HBM. Cloud companies such as Microsoft buy its server DRAM and HBM for their own AI systems.
The SK hynix supply chain map lists each of these companies by tier, with tickers and exchanges.
Who supplies SK hynix's chipmaking equipment?
ASML is the biggest single supplier. Advanced DRAM now needs extreme-ultraviolet lithography, and ASML is the only company that builds EUV machines. In March 2026 SK hynix disclosed a plan to buy about 11.9 trillion won (roughly $7.9 billion) of EUV equipment from ASML by the end of 2027, which Reuters called the largest single order an ASML customer had ever disclosed. Bernstein estimates that works out to around 30 machines, split between the M15X HBM fab in Cheongju and the new Yongin semiconductor cluster.
